Watch the Tire Pressure Warning Light

Manufacturers install a tire pressure monitoring system on their vehicles to alert drivers to inadequate tire pressure. The sensors in each wheel can trigger the warning light when tire pressure falls below the minimum safe level.

Salem-area residents understand that tires are important for safe operation of their vehicles. Under inflated tires wear out too fast and interfere with gas mileage, steering, and cornering. Over-inflated tires cause tire tread to wear in the middle and require replacement before they should with proper care.

At Capitol Chevrolet, we help you keep your tires in good condition and with proper inflation. We also check the tire pressure monitoring system; the system will not protect your tires if it does not work as it should. If your tires show unusual wear, let us check your tires and the tire pressure monitor. Call for an appointment or drop by our service department.
