How To Drive In Rain

The winter weather has slowed down and now we are all enjoying spring and warmer temperatures. Of course, with warmer temperatures comes a lack of snow but precipitation is in full effect in the spring months. A lot of rain can come down in the months of April and May and the summer months can bring about some nasty thunderstorms with a great deal of precipitation in a short period of time. Driving can be just as treacherous as driving in a blizzard. Let's take a look at some tips for driving in the rain:
  • Make sure your windshield wipers are in good shape. If you still have winter wiper blades on your vehicle, swap them out for something designed for warmer weather.
  • Keep your headlights on when it is raining so other vehicle can see you coming.
  • Watch the road ahead of you and try not to head straight into large pooling water that could cause you to hydroplane.
